Cincinnati Police have arrested 18-year-old William Pennington and charged him with Aggravated Murder in the death of Antonio Smith, and with Aggravated Robbery of Richie's Restaurant.
On October 30, 2010, Cincinnati Police say two armed men walked into the Richie's Restaurant located in the 4800 block of Reading Road in Bond Hill and demanded money from Antonio Smith. When they were denied, the two suspects shot Smith.

Pennington was already in jail for an unrelated robbery. The murder case will be handled through juvenile court, because Pennington was 17 years old when it happened.

The valence shell electron pair repulsion (VSEPR) model that we describe here focuses on the bonding and nonbonding electron pairs present in the outermost (“valence”) shell of an atom that connects with two or more other atoms. Like all electrons, these occupy regions of space which we can visualize as electron clouds— regions of negative electric charge, also known as orbitals— whose precise character can be left to more detailed theories.


Molecules are three-dimensional objects that occupy a three-dimensional world; it is easy to forget this after seeing so many depictions of molecular structures on a two-dimensional page. 


Methane, CH4, contains a carbon atom bonded to four hydrogens. What bond angle would lead to the greatest possible separation between the electron clouds associated with these bonds?

On July 20, 2012, a mass shooting occurred inside a Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, during a midnight screening of the film The Dark Knight Rises. A gunman, dressed in tactical clothing, set off tear gas grenades and shot into the audience with multiple firearms. Twelve people were killed and seventy others were injured, which was the largest number of casualties in a shooting in the United States[3] until the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting. The sole assailant, James Eagan Holmes, was arrested in his car parked outside the cinema minutes later.

Snow's position can be summed up by an often-repeated part of the essay:
A good many times I have been present at gatherings of people who, by the standards of the traditional culture, are thought highly educated and who have with considerable gusto been expressing their incredulity at the illiteracy of scientists. Once or twice I have been provoked and have asked the company how many of them could describe the Second Law of Thermodynamics. The response was cold: it was also negative. Yet I was asking something which is the scientific equivalent of: Have you read a work of Shakespeare’s?[5]
I now believe that if I had asked an even simpler question — such as, What do you mean by mass, or acceleration, which is the scientific equivalent of saying, Can you read? — not more than one in ten of the highly educated would have felt that I was speaking the same language. So the great edifice of modern physics goes up, and the majority of the cleverest people in the western world have about as much insight into it as their neolithic ancestors would have had.[5]
